Enquiries and project references
When you contact us, we collect the name, email address, optional phone number, project details and attachments you choose to share. Trade enquiries may also include your practice name. We use this information to respond, assess the brief, prepare a quote and coordinate an agreed commission.
Please upload only references you have permission to share. Avoid including identity documents, banking information or unrelated personal details in photographs and drawings.
Storage and access
Enquiries and attachments are stored using the website’s hosting infrastructure, provided through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare. The studio inbox and file downloads require authorised studio access. These providers may process data outside South Africa. The website also uses short-lived, hashed connection information to limit repeated form submissions.
Optional analytics and marketing
Essential storage supports your cookie preferences and, for authorised studio users, sign-in. Analytics and advertising tags are not loaded until you choose the relevant cookie category. Where configured, Google Analytics measures page visits and enquiry events, Microsoft Clarity helps us understand page usage, and Meta supports advertising audiences. Session recording is excluded from enquiry forms and the private studio inbox.
With analytics consent, we may associate campaign source, campaign name and landing page with an enquiry. We do not deliberately send your name, email, phone number, brief or uploaded files as analytics event data. Provider privacy information is available from Google, Microsoft and Meta.
Use “Cookie preferences” at any time to change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops future optional tracking; it does not remove data already processed by those providers.
The VARN Journal
Joining the journal is optional and separate from a furniture enquiry. We use your name and email for occasional VARN updates only when you opt in. Ask to unsubscribe using the form below.
Retention and your choices
Project enquiries are retained while needed for follow-up and the administration of a resulting commission. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, object to processing, or withdraw journal consent. Some records may need to be retained for an existing order or applicable recordkeeping obligations.
Send a privacy request below using the email associated with your enquiry. We may need to confirm your identity before disclosing or changing information. You may also contact South Africa’s Information Regulator.
