The idea
A low chair made for long sitting. Broad timber arms frame a handwoven seat that gives where the body needs it to and stays visually light.
Construction
Made from the inside out.
The frame uses shouldered mortise-and-tenon joints; the cord is woven directly onto separate seat and back rails so it can be renewed years from now.
Finish
Made to be touched.
Natural soap and oil keep the ash pale while allowing the arms to gather a gentle patina.
